Caanan Grall / ”Mystique the secret Smurf”
An Ideal Future, by Daniel Irizarri. For The Line It Is Drawn #44. Tales from a world that will never be.
John Constantine and Captain Marvel team-up sketched by Paul Hostetler for The Line It Is Drawn #112. Not even the magic of Shazam will halt the corruptive influence of Constantine.
Outstanding mock cover for Static Shock recreated as a cyberpunk title instead of a straight superhero adventure by Daniel Irizarri, way back in 2011 for The Line it is Drawn #10
Runababies by Marco D’Alfonso
Parody of those classic Hostess snack cake ads by Xum Yukinori, from The Line It Is Drawn #117, a farewell art jam for the company. The dA page has an textless verson of panel 5, if you’d rather just see that.
The Terrifying Bat-Man #100 by Daniel Irizarri Oquendo, made for the The Line It Is Drawn 100, and itself based on fellow TLIID artist Nick Perks’ take on a Jack Kirby-created Batman
The Line It Is Drawn #105 for 9/6/12: Superheroes get new teen sidekicks! I chose the suggestion “Ozymandias’ new sidekick, Gordy the Knot-Boy” by Mike Shirley just because I love the name “Gordy the Knot-Boy.” This cover is a parody of the famous “Speedy is a JUNKIE” cover to Green Lantern/Green Arrow #85 by Neal Adams.
You can check out all the other great kid sidekick pieces here.
By John Trumbull for The Line It Is Drawnoh fucking bless this post
Snikt! Comics #252 by Daniel Irizarri Oquendo, a, ah…”homage” to Action Comics #252 where Supergirl first appeared. I like this mostly for the excessive cursing because I am puerile like that.
Martian Manhunter is forced to confront his Oreos Chocos addiction in Chaz Folger’s homage to Iron Man #128. Created quite a while ago for The Line It Is Drawn #55.
